To The Start & At The Finish
WhistleStop START Line Directions:
WhistleStop Marathon: From the Bay Area Civic Center, in Ashland, proceed north on Fourth Avenue West to Highway 2; west on U.S. Highway 2, 23 miles to East Long Lake Road (FR 242); Right on East Long Lake Road 1.2 miles to Tri-Lake Timbers Resort & Campground and race start. Reminder there is NO parking allowed at the full marathon race start on race day. Runners and Spectators will be bused in from the South Shore Sand and Gravel parking area just off of Hwy 2 near FR 242. Spectators will be bused back to the parking area after the race start. Runners will not be bused back to this area after the race.
WhistleStop Half-Marathon: From the Bay Area Civic Center, in Ashland, proceed north on Fourth Avenue West to Highway 2; west on U.S. Highway 2, 3.8 miles to County Highway G; right on County Highway G, 5.6 miles to Moquah Town Park and race start. This area has ample parking and is a great place for spectators to watch the race start and see the runners again as they loop around on mile 3. Reminder there is not shuttle bus back to this parking area after the race.
5k/10K: Their is no parking at the start of the 5k & 10K. Participants will be shuttled from the south side of the Bay Area Civic Center, in front of Associated Bank, to the appropriate start line.
FINISH LINE
The following items will be available in the finishline tent for runners, Blue PowerAde, water, bananas, yogurt, and cookies. A comfortable grassy area near the finish line will be a great place to lay down and relax, meet friends and share race stories.
Every effort will be made to announce the names of finishers as they cross the finish line. All finishers will be offered a reflective blanket for warmth.
EMT’s will be available for those requiring medical assistance.
The finish line will also feature post-race music all afternoon. Concessions, soda and beer will also be available to purchase.
